She no longer wishes to be silent… On Tuesday January 11, 2022, a former BFMTV journalist went to the police station in the 16th arrondissement of Paris to file a complaint for attempted sexual assault. The 33-year-old accuses Jean-Jacques Bourdin of having tried to kiss her in a hotel swimming pool during a press trip to Calvi, Corsica. Ensuring that she no longer feared the moral authority of Jean-Jacques Bourdin, she confided in the columns of Parisian : “I am no longer a young journalist afraid of losing my job and I know that I did not have to suffer what I suffered.“The facts date back to 2013. Working for BFMTV, the young journalist was 25 when the channel’s boss, Alain Weill, invited her to the Calvi Open petanque competition, which was held on October 4, 2013 in Haute- Corsica. So, she had agreed to go there despite her extremely tense relationship with Jean-Jacques Bourdin.
In front of the investigators, the young woman confided to have been swum in the swimming pool of the hotel around six o’clock in the morning. Jean-Jacques Bourdin would have quickly joined him and started swimming alongside him before paying him compliments. After discussing a situationannoying“, the journalist said that he would have approached her before grabbing her by the neck and trying to kiss her several times. After managing to escape her kisses and get out of the pool, the TV star allegedly said, “I get. Always what I want.“ Several months after the fact, the young woman would have received insistent emails and text messages, which she preferred never to answer. According to information from Parisian, she would have transmitted one to the investigators. In the latter, which was sent to him about a year after the events, the host wrote to him:You tempt me every morning… I like your look.“

If the facts are probably prescribed, the reporter explained: “Today, I am tidy, peaceful. But for years, I went to work with fear in my stomach, completely stressed. I am filing a complaint with the conviction that other women are concerned and that this will perhaps allow other women to speak out.“For his part, Jean-Jacques Bourdin disputes the facts.”I know this person, and I worked with her. I admit having bathed with her in the swimming pool of this hotel. But I never tried to force-kiss her or anyone else“, he said. According to information from the Parisian, two other women could come to testify with the investigators of similar facts.
