Jukai Studio closes its doors

On October 25, Jukai Studio released its first title Stray Souls, an action-horror game set in the haunted town of Aspen Falls. Unfortunately for the studio, the game is far from having received a good reception from players and is collecting negative reviews on Steam.

A failure, which will ultimately get the better of the studio. Indeed, in a press release shared on its X account – formerly Twitter – Jukai Studio announces that it is closing its doors permanently. Returning to the mixed reception of Stray Souls by the players, the Jukai teams explain this failure largely by the cyberharassment of which they were victims. Both during the development of the game and after its launch.

We thus learn that throughout the development of its title, the members of Jukai Studio as well as the publisher’s staff were attacked several times by a cyber stalker. Then, once the game was released, some members of the community also received numerous spam messages. A relentlessness which could therefore explain, according to the studio, the lack of support for Stray Souls.
