Julia Roberts has been happily married for over 20 years. However, the actress hardly ever talks about her family life with Danny Moder and their children – now she is making an exception.
“When I’m not working, being a housewife is my full-time job. And whenever you see someone happy, it doesn’t matter how old is he.”
The actress, who has twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 19, and son Henry, 16, with her partner, goes on to say that she is extremely grateful to have achieved success early in her career. “The happiest aspect of my professional and family life is that success in my professional life came earlier. So by the time I had the success of my family life and a husband and children who wanted to stay at home, I had already worked for 18 years. Speaking about her career, the mother-of-three reveals she almost turned down the role of Anna Scott opposite Hugh Grant, 63, in Notting Hill. The reason: She didn’t like portraying an actress. “I felt so uncomfortable! We talked about it so many times, but I almost didn’t take the role because it just made me so uncomfortable. I didn’t even know how to play this person.” She also “loathed” the costumes because she didn’t like having to dress like a movie star.
