Jungle Camp: "Finally we have our annual scandal"

After the excitement of his number-turner on "I'm a star – get me out of here!" Moderator Daniel Hartwich (41) has now spoken. He had called for spectator voting in Show 13 and announced the wrong final digit for candidate Claudia Norberg (49), who had to leave the jungle camp.

"Day 14 in the jungle and finally we have our annual scandal: The big voting mishap," said Hartwich on the jungle camp show (here at TVNOW): "I actually read that crazy bird at 2 o'clock at night, what was written down to me. How could I … ", joked the moderator at the side of colleague Sonja Zietlow (51), who added:" Otherwise, of course, all voting calls and all overlays were correct. The voting result is valid."

"A technical mistake"

RTL said that "due to a technical error" Hartwich had been given the wrong number when it was set. The correct final digit was always shown to the audience. "The vote is and remains valid," confirmed the broadcaster. Instead of the displayed -02, the moderator had said -01. Those who would have chosen the final digit -01, says RTL, "have lost no money". Since the number belonged to Anastasiya Avilova (31), who had to leave the camp on Tuesday, the line was no longer activated "and there was a busy signal".
