Peter Althof spoke in the jungle camp about losing contact with his son. He spoke up and gives hope.

In this year’s jungle camp, former bodyguard Peter Althof (66) recently caused a stir with a confession. In conversation with camp colleague Filip Pavlovic (28), he admitted that he hadn’t had any contact with his son for years. the Sender RTL has now found said son. His name is Dennis Gröbe, he is 28 years old and is surprised but not angry that his father revealed the family problems in front of an audience of millions.

But he also makes it clear: “But he shouldn’t have addressed it in the jungle, if it bothers him so much, he could have talked to me a long time ago.” But he was “not at all angry” about it, on the contrary: “I wish my father good luck and I wish him the crown.” A happy ending for father and son seems to be at least possible after the RTL adventure.

Much bon vivant, little father?

According to Gröbe, his parents separated when he was six years old. The two would have seen each other regularly until they were teenagers, the contact only broke off later: “He was always a bon vivant. He was rarely at home. But that’s not the reason why it broke up. You can have a lot of fun with him – as a buddy – but he often didn’t know how to be a father, namely to be there more for his child.”
