The Jura GIGA 10 is a juggernaut of technologies that alone concentrates all the know-how of the Swiss manufacturer. This new coffee maker with grinder does not do half measures by integrating a double coffee distribution system, consisting of two bean hoppers with a capacity of 280 g each (i.e. 560 g in total), but also two grinders in ceramic, two flowmeters, two water heating circuits and two pumps.

This ultra-sophisticated configuration would make it possible to prepare two very different specialties simultaneously without altering the tastes.

In addition to the traditional hot drinks to which we are accustomed (ristretto, espresso, long coffee, americanos, cappuccino, latte macchiato, etc.), the GIGA 10 is also able to prepare a “cold brew” drink (a coffee that is prepared and is eaten cold) quickly.

This system, already seen on the manufacturer’s Z10 coffee maker, is based on an injection of cold water (at the temperature of the water in the tank) at high pressure into the freshly ground coffee wafer, but in a coarser way. only for a hot drink. So you can consume all the drinks in the catalog, rich in 35 specialities, cold.

A panoramic control panel

To exploit all the features offered by the GIGA 10, Jura is introducing a touchscreen control panel in panoramic format on its coffee maker, which is supposed to offer intuitive navigation. This gives access to a multitude of settings. For each coffee, the user will be able to modify the size, the intensity of the coffee (on 10 levels), the temperature, the proportion of coffee compared to that of milk, milk froth, etc. Like all well-endowed automatic machines from Jura, the GIGA 10 connects to the home wifi network to transfer the controls to a smartphone but above all to be able to make your drink from your sofa, monitor the water and coffee levels in the various tanks, being kept informed of the maintenance operations to be planned, etc.

Under a hood that is still just as stylish and neat, the fundamentals of Jura remain. It includes the pulsed extraction process (system for injecting hot water into the coffee by pulse), the grinder which adapts the fineness of the grind to the chosen recipe (Product Recognising Grinder system) or the Claris filter which communicates with the coffee maker (Intelligent Water System technology).

The new flagship of Jura, and its wave of options, is sold at 3,000 €.
