Meal delivery giant Just Eat Takeaway announced on Wednesday that it plans to part with 350 delivery workers in France and around 40 positions in support functions, in particular due to the “difficult market dynamics” in the country. This is an upward review for the Anglo-Dutch group, which announced in April that it planned to part with 269 delivery workers on permanent contracts in France and from 23 to 30 positions in support functions, in 20 cities.
The reorganization now concerns the delivery service in 26 French cities, where “we are currently looking for another solution“, specified the Anglo-Dutch group to AFP. “In Paris, we will continue to offer this service with delivery people who are our permanent employees.“, underlined the spokesperson, while insisting that”all this is currently still an intention and depends on discussions with works councils and trade unions“.
