Justice: the promotion of Macron’s justice adviser goes badly

Three days after the publication of a “transparency” (draft appointment) relating to eleven posts of heads of court (of appeal), the announced promotion of President Macron’s legal adviser to the post of first president of the court of call from Bastia (Haute-Corse) goes badly. A deaf but lively bronca agitates the jurisdictions of the country since the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) decided, on 1^er June, to nominate Hélène Davo for this position. Ten other magistrates, all classified “outside the hierarchy” – the highest rank in the judiciary – had applied.
