Kalray: 57% increase in its 2023 turnover

(AOF) – Kalray generated 2023 turnover of 25.8 million euros, up 57% compared to 2022, mainly driven by the storage market. The distribution of 2023 turnover is similar to that of last year: 67% on the “Software” part (mainly software offering, supplemented by support activities and related services) and 33% on the “Hardware” part ” (sale of acceleration cards and complete storage hardware solutions). Turnover is distributed relatively evenly between Europe and the United States.

“We are approaching 2024 with confidence for continued strong growth, driven by the gradual ramp-up of our strategic partnerships, in particular with Dell and JB&A, and the launch of new products which should in particular benefit from ever-increasing demand. dynamic around AI and intensive data processing,” said Éric Baissus, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kalray.

The turnover target of 30 million euros set by the group last September could not be achieved, mainly taking into account the delay of a large-scale order (around 3 million euros) in the media and entertainment sector.

This order, initially scheduled for the end of 2023, is expected in January.

As a result, the initial target for Ebitda to break even in 2023 could not be achieved. Kalray now expects a large improvement in its Ebitda, the loss of which should be divided by 2 in 2023 (last year, the 2022 Ebitda was -2.7 million euros).

In terms of prospects, Kalray is confident of achieving an increase in its 2024 turnover comparable to that achieved in 2023 and in line with the growth dynamic anticipated by the analyst consensus.
