(Boursier.com) — Kalray climbs more than 15% this Thursday to more than 20 euros, as the group launched a strategic collaboration with Arm to offer ultra-high performance data processing and AI solutions across a wide range of applications, leveraging Kalray’s industry-leading data processing unit (DPU) and Arm’s extensive partner ecosystem.

Concretely, this collaboration results in the integration by Kalray of the Arm Neoverse Coherent Mesh Network (CMN) interconnection technology into its new generation of DPU chiplet processor for data processing and AI accelerator, which bears the name code ‘Dolomites’. This integration will connect Kalray’s DPU to Arm-based chiplets using the Arm CMN interconnect solution, provided in the same package.
This approach has the advantage of optimizing the flexibility, performance, energy consumption and cost of the solution; and aims to open new horizons to a vast ecosystem of solution developers, giving them the opportunity to benefit from the advanced capabilities of the Kalray processor.

“This collaboration is, in our opinion, good news for two reasons: 1/ the interest of a player as major as ARM sends a good signal about recognition in the Kalray technology industry, 2/ it continues the work carried out for several years to make Kalray technology more easily adoptable by the market” comments Portzamparc… “The only downside, but which is logical, is that the Dolomites chip will in our opinion only be finalized in 2025 for commercial availability in 2026” continues the analyst who remains to be “kept” on the file.
