This Saturday, February 12, Kanye West announced on his Instagram account that he would be removing Kid Cudi’s contributions from “Donda 2”. In question: his friendship with Pete Davidson, current boyfriend of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Kanye West keep talking about him. The American rapper, who recently criticized Billie Eilish for criticizing Travis Scott over the Astroworld Festival drama, this time attacked Kid Cudiwith whom he had collaborated for the album Kids See Ghostsin 2018
Ye thus posted this Saturday, February 12 on Instagram a handwritten note (since deleted) in which he announces that rapper Kid Cudi, would not appear on his next studio album 2, which is scheduled for release on February 22.Just FYI, Cudi won’t be on Donda because he’s friends with you-know-who. We all speak in Billie language now“, he wrote.
Although he did not specify who he was referring to with the phrase “you know who”Internet users believe that it would be addressed to the actorpete davidson, friend of Kid Cudi and new companion of Kim Kardashian since her breakup with Kanye. Indeed, the artist tagged his former wife on the post, but also Kid Cudi, Tracey Romulus (Kim’s publicist) and comedian Michael Che.
Kid Cudi: “Too bad I don’t want to be on your album, you dinosaur”
Right after, Ye posted a parodying meme movie poster Captain America: Civil War. On this one, we can see two camps: that of Kanye West composed of Future, Drake, Julia Fox and Travis Scott; and that of Pete Davidson with Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift by his side.
Since then, Kid Cudi has decided to respond to Ye’s comments by posting a few tweets. “You’re crazy for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a little show on the internet. You are not a friend. BYE”he wrote, before adding: “Too bad I don’t want to be on your album, you dinosaur. Everyone knows I’ve been the best thing on your albums since I met you. I will pray for you my brother.” A few hours later, Kanye West posted on his Instagram account the album cover of Kids See Ghosts, the collaborative project between Kid Cudi and him. “I just wanted my friend to support me, the knife sinks even deeper”he wrote in the caption.
