Actress and filmmaker Karoline Herfurth (39) and producer and director Christopher Doll (47) are currently on a promotional tour for their new joint film “A Million Minutes”. In their first joint interview with the magazine “Stern” after the couple Herfurth and Doll made their relationship public at an awards ceremony last summer, they reveal how one is connected to the other.

But because they wanted to keep their private lives secret at the time, they were only able to celebrate their successes together to a limited extent. “I don’t want to distract from the character and the story and therefore prefer to remain invisible as a private person,” says Herfurth about the long reticence, “but the fact is that we simply had the feeling that we had been making films together for so long and such a strong team: “Keeping this door closed would have started to feel artificial. Like an elephant in the room that no one was allowed to talk about,” she admits.

I was an intern in the production management, and Karoline had one of the supporting roles,” he says. She adds: “I was 15 and looked about nine.” Doll: “I was in my early 20s.”

Later they became inseparable, especially professionally: “When I was directing my own work, Chris was on the set with me every day from the start, and he was also my counterpart in the acting work.
