Actually, the British "Big Brother" winner Kate Lawler should be enjoying the best time of her life right now. But the new mother is in a crisis. Her child has an infection and fears for baby Noa have become a serious burden for the reality TV star.

Kate Lawler, 40, became the mother of little Noa in February. A child who should make her happiness with her fiancé Martin perfect. But then her girl was found to be infected – and suddenly the world of the radio presenter was upside down. "I'm in the darkest place I've ever been …," she confessed in an emotional Insta post last Tuesday (March 16, 2021). Of her 33 days outside of the womb, Noa spent 14 days in the hospital, writes Kate, and she only sleeps two hours a night. A stressful situation for the new mom.

"There were moments of happiness," she lets her followers know, "but hand on my heart, I'm exhausted, frustrated and these days after the birth are not what I imagined." However, this would not change the feelings for her baby, she emphasizes. "I love my child and I've been fighting to keep her alive for almost five weeks." She breasts her day and night and comforts, holds, kisses and cuddles her.

Kate is not alone with her worries

The honest post does not go unheard. "I am absolutely thrilled with the feedback on my last post over the past 24 hours. At first I was afraid to publish it because I feared I would be classified as callous or ungrateful, but THANK YOU, it was the right thing," she writes on Wednesday (March 17, 2021) under a photo of her wearing a t-shirt that says "It's okay to feel shitty".

"So many people have sent messages of love, support, advice, and understanding," says Kate happily. "Just because you made the choice and were lucky enough to conceive, carry, and give birth to a little human that doesn't mean it just means sunshine and rainbows." For some, it is dark, stormy and no parent should have to pretend things are going well when it isn't, she supports her decision to share her worries.

And Kate has more good news: "Noa has done better in the last 24 hours too! She cries less, sleeps a little more …". A light at the end of the tunnel is also in sight for the moderator. A glimmer of hope that will certainly give courage to other exhausted new parents who are plagued by worries about their baby.
