Kate Middleton would she have lacked consideration with Meghan Markle upon his arrival in the British royal family? This is the thesis defended by the royal biographer Omid Scobieknown to be close to Meghan Markle, in Endgamehis new book. According to Omid Scobie, Kate Middleton almost immediately got used to being “cold” with Meghan Markle. The journalist argues that the Princess of Wales also mocks her sister-in-law by calling her a“Royal Stepford Wife” (a dig in reference to the book The Stepford Wifes) and of “last flashy thing in the monarchy for many years to come.” Unlike Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton would have been appreciated by Elizabeth II because of her easy to be coached and because she “n / A never challenged the system with public struggles or excessive aspirations”.
Mental health: hypocrisy in the royal family?
In Endgame, Omid Scobie also delivers a vitriolic analysis of the future royal couple’s relationship with mental health. The theme, much highlighted by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, has now been taken up by Prince William and Kate Middleton. The latter is singled out by Omid Scobie for ‘advocating for mental health causes while ignoring Meghan’s pleas for help’. And Prince William is not left out.
“At the very least, the institution ignored Meghan when she was suffering”estimates Omid Scobie in Endgame. “It’s a dismal recordand with William now openly claiming that his mother was too paranoid to tell the truth, it proves that the institution still operates on the principle that women who are not born into the family are, ultimately, disposable.” These first incriminating elements present in the book should not be the last to make waves.
