On the occasion of her 40th birthday, Kate Middleton was photographed by the Italian artist Paolo Roversi. The pictures, tinged with naturalness, are reminiscent of those of Princess Diana in 1989.
This January 9, Kate Middleton celebrates her 40th birthday. To mark this beautiful event, three portraits of the Duchess captured by Italian photographer Paolo Roversi were unveiled this Sunday by Kensington Palace. On these, Kate appears smiling, her features relaxed, adopting an attitude not unlike that of Princess Diana in 1989, during his photo shoot with the French Patrick Demarchelier. Black and white shots, soft lines and no decor … the comparison is in order. A Kensington Palace source told the Daily Mail the portraits depicted “the three aspects of Kate’s personality”. “There’s her royal side – as you can see in the classic photo where she looks into the distance; there’s the more informal image in the red dress like a modern 40-year-old woman; and then there’s the fat one. plan, which offers a more intimate perspective“, explains the latter. On one of the pictures, the one where the Duchess wears an asymmetrical red dress, the presence of jewelry is limited to a pair of earrings, from the private collection of the queen. On the other two, Kate Middleton wears jewelry that once belonged to Lady Diana: earrings made of pearls and diamonds and her engagement ring, topped with diamonds and a sapphire. A beautiful tribute to the mother of her husband, tragically deceased in 1997.
Kate Middleton, praised by the photographer for his latest portraits
Asked by Bazaar UK, Paolo Roversi, the author of these famous pictures, was full of praise for Kate Middleton. “It was a true honor for me to paint the portrait of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge, and a moment of pure joy “, said the latter. “I was moved by his warm and friendly welcome and enchanted by her shining eyes which reflected the beauty of her soul and her smile showing the generosity of her heart. It was a deep and rich experience for me, an unforgettable moment. I have met a wonderful person, a person who with her positive energy can bring hope to the whole world. ”That’s a lovely statement!
