Mainly known in France for having been the husband of pop star Katy Perry for two years, Russell Brand is a real star across the Atlantic. Unfortunately for him, the actor now finds himself in turmoil. Like some of his fellow actors, Russell Brand is accused of assault and sexual abuse by several women. One of them was still a minor when the assault she describes took place. Aged 16 when she was in a relationship with Russell Brand, one of his four wives, who have all remained anonymous, claims that the actor allegedly assaulted him “emotionally and sexually”. Katy Perry’s ex-husband was already over 30 years old at the time of the incident. Concretely, the victim accuses Russell Brand of having forced him to perform several sexual acts. He also allegedly removed a condom during sexual intercourse without her consent.

One of the other women who accuse the actor of sexual assault claims that she was the victim of rape at Russell Brand’s home, located in Los Angeles. A third victim said she had been sexually assaulted by the actor, but also threatened. Actually, Russell Brand allegedly told her he was going to sue her if she dared to speak about it publicly. Following the publication of these accusations, the actor “absolutely refuted” there “litany of astonishing and rather baroque attacks” of the complainants in a video published on Twitter Saturday September 16, 2023. “These allegations relate to the time when I was working in the general public, when I was in newspapers all the time, when I was in the cinema. And as I have written a lot in my books, I was very, very promiscuity. Now, During this period of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about it then – almost too transparent – and I am also now,” did he declare. For its part, the British television channel Channel 4 revealed the testimonies of the four women accusing Russell Brand of sexual assault on the show Dispatches the same day.
