Although her life is no longer in danger, she is, however, making the headlines. On April 22, around 5:30 a.m., Kendji Girac was injured in the chest by a shot that he himself described as “accidental”. That day, he was in a Travelers camp, located in Biscarosse in the Landes. Indeed, although he earns millions of euros, and is one of the most popular singers of his generation, Kendji Girac lives half the year in a caravan. So, like every summer, he joined his community to take advantage of the beautiful months wandering around France. A gypsy way of life, to which the winner of The Voice season 3 is particularly attached, as he confided to Parisianin 2020.
The son of a pruner who continues to lend a hand to his family on certain construction sites is not accustomed to a life of luxury. On the contrary, he feels like he is in prison; trap. What he needs is nature, rain, sun, family, evenings around the fire… in short, freedom. A visceral need which pushed him to part with his Parisian apartment, located in the Champs-Élysées district, and which he had rented “4,000 or 5,000 euros”, after just a week. Instead, Kendji Girac preferred to invest in a house in the Paris suburbs, where he stays during the winter months. Well almost.
When Kendji Girac invests in a house… to park his caravan
Win The Voice could have transformed him… But on the contrary, it only strengthened his attachment to the gypsy community, whose way of life he preserved. Thus, like his parents and grandparents, Kendji Girac adopted a semi-sedentary lifestyle. During the summer he travels in a caravan, while in the winter he resides in his house in the suburbs, except for a few details. In fact, at the bottom of his garden there are around ten caravans, as reported by Le Parisien. Those of his parents, his sisters, his brother, his nephews and nieces, as well as his own. The interpreter of Bella also admitted to our colleagues that he even slept there in winter, “at least as often as under the roof of [sa] House”.
