ZeratoR is a busy man. Every year he delights the community by organizing events that punctuate the year for gamers. The biggest is surely the Z-Event which raises funds for a good cause. The Z-LAN it has just passed and in 2022 this half-fun, half-tryhard competition crowned the GOOLS (Olso, Leaf and Shuh). While Zera must also carefully follow the project of his Valorant team (mandatory), he will also hold his usual next month Trackmania Cup. We imagine that he already has lots of mapping ideas and the future competitors are surely all dreaming of being there for the grand final, which will take place this year in Bercy with a crazy audience on June 4.
Pro players, streamers but also amateurs are invited to register for this competition. The online qualifications will take place on May 14 and 15 and it will be necessary to fight hard to succeed in passing the cut. It should also be noted that this year the competition will take place in teams of two… We should therefore observe a small transfer window to form the best possible doublet. Kenny, tryharder at heart has announced that he will participate in the tournament. He formalized on the networks his duo and this one should bring back some very good memories.
Two-thirds of Team KEK
Kenny will team up with stars for the Trackmania Cup 2022 and fans will be delighted to find two members of the Team KEK, winner of the Z LAN in 2021. If some hoped to see the team on deck for the Z LAN 2022 (with Khalen), the members however preferred to live their adventure separately. Kenny wore the colors of FC Clair who showed a very high overall level to climb to the semi-finals. For his part, Stars quickly took the door. He arrived in relaxed mode alongside Kameto and Bibi (Kameto Corp) and the trio failed to get out of the first group. The ambitions were not the same and the two friends experienced a very different Z LAN this year. Stars explained in particular that he didn’t particularly want to be competitive and that it was almost more pleasant to come in a 100% fun state of mind.
But the duo will reform for the next Trackmania Cup. Obviously, the community would like to see the two streamers go as far as possible and on paper, the team looks good. We can perhaps dream of seeing her qualify for the final. On the other hand, for the title, it may be more complicated. While pro players will be hired (KC Bren, GO Papou), they should logically win.
Will we have the right to a new winner?
It is not the first time that the Trackmania Cup will take place as a team. In 2019, she was already in a duo and the CarlJr / Bren team won. Last year, the competition was even played as a trio and the Papaleak team was crowned (Gwen, Aurel and Papou).
For now, the Canadian CarlJr continues to have the record of victories (5) and he has a good margin on his pursuer Gwen (2). While the tournament has become an unmissable event on the scene, we imagine that the two drivers will once again be present to try to add a line to their already well-stocked list. But for the story, we would not be against the idea of crowning a new king. This year, as we are in 2022, there will be 2022 euros to be won! Inflation is following its course after last year’s 2021 euros in cash prize!
