Kerstin Ott lives vegan and is also publicly committed to fighting animal suffering. She took off her clothes for a PETA campaign.

pop star Kerstin Ott (41) fights against animal suffering together with the animal rights organization PETA. The singer is the face of a new advertising campaign. In one motif, Ott can be seen with a bare back, which is divided into the “same parts” as the flesh of animals. In another picture she shows herself with a bloody piglet on her plate. According to a PETA statement, the 41-year-old wants to use the campaign to encourage people to eat a plant-based diet.

Kerstin Ott has been living vegan for several months

Kerstin Ott herself abstains from animal products, having previously been vegetarian for a long time, as she reveals on Instagram. “I live vegan, this decision was made by various events,” the artist is also quoted by PETA. “I couldn’t stand these trucks with live animals on the highways going from A to B for a long time. Videos and posts from PETA underlined my intentions and awakened my consciousness.”

Accepting animal suffering “for a barbecue or cornflakes for breakfast” is “absolutely not right for her and hurts my heart,” the singer added. She did it herself for a long time because she wasn’t informed and didn’t think about it. “We all have to show people together what they are actually supporting. In addition, a life without animal products is much healthier and we are helping the climate,” Ott continued. Kerstin Ott, who became known for the hit “Die immer Laughs”, underlines her concern with the sentence “I’ve lost my laugh”, which can be read on one of the motifs in the campaign. In a video from PETA, Kerstin Ott also explains that she has been vegan for eight months now. “It was the best decision I could have made.”
