Hollywood couple celebrates comeback on the big screen

After two decades, Hollywood dream couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick return to the screen together again in “Connescence”.
The Hollywood dream couple Kevin Bacon (65) and Kyra Sedgwick (58) are celebrating their big comeback: The two actors were last seen on screen together in 2004 in the films “The Woodsman” and “Cavedweller”. But how now? Industry magazine “Deadline” wants to know that Bacon and Sedgwick will be in front of the camera together for the first time in 20 years for the new production by “King of Queens” producer Michael J. Weithorn (67). Bacon and Sedgwick take on the leading roles in “Connescence”.
That’s what “Connescence” is about
In Weithorn’s new production, Bacon embodies the role of the security guard, who meets Sedgwick’s figure Cynthia after stopping an attempted robbery on her house. “From this random encounter, an charged and dynamic friendship grows – first as a nightly text messages full of humor and intimate revelations that develop into something that shakes the foundations of both lives,” says “Deadline”.
The pair are delighted to be working together on screen “for the first time in 20 years in such a funny, moving and original script,” they said in a joint statement. It was “great to work with the family,” Sedgwick already revealed in March 2023 to “People”.
Bacon and Sedgwick met while filming
Bacon and Sedgwick met on the set of the coming-of-age film “Lemon Sky” in 1987. Just a year later, on September 4, 1988, the two actors said the yes word. Bacon and Sedgwick have two children, son Travis (34) and daughter Sosie (31), who like their parents are an actress.
