In Kevin Costner’s new film project “Horizon: An American Saga” things are not only rough, but also quite familiar.

After the grueling divorce drama with his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner (49), Hollywood star Kevin Costner (69) can finally turn his attention to happier things again. The focus of his attention is his new film project “Horizon: An American Saga”, his first directorial work after “Open Range – Wide Land” from 2003. The ambitious two-part western epic tells the settlement of the American continent over a period of 15 years West. Since yesterday, January 26th, there has been one Trailer for the first part, insights into the film’s events.

The film project takes on particular emotional significance due to the fact that Costner’s son Hayes (15) will be seen on the big screen for the first time in the epic. It’s already clear in the trailer that the Costner junior got a good deal of his famous father’s talent. In the clip, he defends his family from bloodthirsty attackers with a rifle in his hand and assures the frightened film mother (Sienna Miller, 42): “It’s okay. I’ll stay with dad.”
