Kida Khodr Ramadan: This is how the "4 Blocks" star reacts to the Beirut disaster

"4 Blocks" star Kida Khodr Ramadan wants to help his hometown Beirut after the explosion. He campaigns for Kindernothilfe.

Actor Kida Khodr Ramadan (43) has launched an appeal for donations on Instagram. "We are fine. We have fresh water. We have bread. We live in luxury," he says in a video clip. But there are also people who would not live in luxury. "Even if it's only one euro, you help," he says, referring to the organization "Kindernothilfe". The money arrives, so he puts his hand in the fire, the actor promises. "There are a lot of people who need our help right now."

Kida Khodr Ramadan was born in Beirut in Lebanon, lives in Berlin and is now a father of six. The catastrophic explosion in his hometown – and especially the fate of the children – does not affect him as much as he expressly explains in the clip.

"I don't do that as a Lebanese because something happened in Lebanon. Those who know me know that I always try to do something good," said Ramadan. That is regardless of where in the world something happens. "It's about children. It's about women. It's about poor people who are currently in a very bad situation. Please, please, please!", He addressed to his followers

Kida Khodr Ramadan received many awards for his role as Ali "Toni" Hamady in the drama series "4 Blocks" (2017-2019). In mid-July, he made his directorial debut "No orange tree grows in Berlin" premiere.
