“Killers of the Flower Moon” has been running in German cinemas since the end of October 2023. For a film with a running time of just under three and a half hours that will appear on Apple TV+ sooner or later, the success of Martin Scorsese’s drama is considerable and a streaming release was not expected until the beginning of 2024.
But now Apple is surprising with an unexpected announcement: “Killers of the Flower Moon” will be available to stream from December 5, 2023. So time for an Apple TV+ subscription?
Apple TV yes, Apple TV+ no
For now it is only possible to rent or buy “Killers of the Flower Moon”. The film will cost you 14.99 euros to rent, 19.99 euros if you want to watch “Killers of the Flower Moon” again and again. As of now, you can only find the purchased version on iTunes/Apple TV; Amazon Prime Video only lets you rent the film.
The release on Apple TV+ is still planned, but Apple is currently keeping the date to itself. Depending on how successful “Killers of the Flower Moon” is as a purchase and rental title, we could expect the film to appear on Apple TV+ as early as the end of January or beginning of February 2024.
