Very calm, always cautious, possibly autistic – this is how the environment describes the alleged perpetrator Adrian K. * (23), who is said to have shot his father Hanspeter K. * († 54) in his parents’ house on Monday evening in Lampenberg BL. Because of his special nature, he is said to have been an outsider – he had a hard time with his peers and in the family. He still lived at home. The 23-year-old completed his apprenticeship in the machine industry two years ago. Then he graduated from the recruiting school. In the mug shot taken by the Basel police on Tuesday, he was wearing a Swiss Army camouflage suit.
“The person arrested yesterday was on duty,” confirms Daniel Reist, media spokesman for the army, to Blick. Out of consideration for data protection, the army is not allowed to say in which unit Adrian K. completed the RS and whether he continued. One thing is certain: he was a good shot. He was in a rifle club in the area.
You could tell that he was having problems
According to “20 Minuten” Adrian K. was conspicuous in the RS. “Even then, everyone was wondering why they were getting a gun,” said a former comrade. According to the newspaper, the alleged perpetrator owned an orderly weapon plus a pistol. A neighbor also told Blick that it had been known for a long time that the young man had a gun.
The young man was apparently not doing well, the people around him said to Blick. The 23-year-old was seen to have problems. “He suffered,” says someone who had known him from an early age. As the eldest son of the family of five, Adrian K. had a lot of arguments with his father. The children were also previously beaten.
“He suffered from his father”
The relationship between father and son was strained according to “20 minutes”. “He suffered from his father.” This was very strict. Adrian K. had often been puffed up by him. “He was a poor sick man and was finished off.” At home he was considered a black sheep.
Father Hanspeter K. * († 54), the victim, worked in the construction industry. Outwardly, he should have looked completely normal. The family was also not noticeable at first glance. But anyone who knew him better tells that Hanspeter K. could also appear aggressive. A friend who wants to remain anonymous says: “There was tension in the family.”
After several hours of fleeing, surrendered without resistance
The homicide had occurred on Monday evening in the family house of the K. family in Lampenberg. Neighbors had alerted the police after a shot was fired, which they had perceived as a loud bang. This found the dead Hanspeter K. in the house. The alleged perpetrator fled.
Because the armed young man could not be tracked on Tuesday morning either, the police published an unpixeled mug shot. Adrian K. was finally caught on a farm outside the village early on Tuesday afternoon. A tip from the population led to success. Adrian K. was still armed, but had surrendered without resistance.
Thomas Lyssy, media spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office in Basel-Landschaft, says to Blick: “At the moment, interrogations are taking place. Among other things, it is about clarifying the course of events and the motive. “
