Kilometer-long traffic jam – truck crash: “Prosecco flood” on the Tyrolean motorway

Prosecco lovers have to be very strong now: on Monday morning there was a collision between a truck and a concrete mixer on the Inntalautobahn in the Tyrolean Unterland. The truck had a “splashy” load on board – countless bottles landed on the road. The result was a long backlog.

The accident happened around 10:15 a.m. on the A12 near Münster (Kufstein district). According to initial information, the collision occurred when the driver of the Polish truck wanted to drive onto the Autobahn from the Münster-Süd parking lot. Apparently, the driver of the concrete mixer could no longer avoid it. There was a crash, and the tarpaulin of the truck trailer was torn open. Part of the load – countless boxes with Prosecco bottles – fell onto the road as a result. The first lane was blocked and then had to be closed.Kilometre-long backlog According to the police, the accident caused a kilometer-long backlog. Asfinag and the towing service were busy cleaning up and salvaging for a long time. The two truck drivers were apparently unharmed.
