Self-determined, sexy and beautiful: Kim Cattrall is not only perceived as a self-confident woman because of her series role as “Samantha Jones”. She used to speak out against aesthetic beauty procedures, but she no longer supports this attitude.

Ever since Kim Cattrall, 66, was revealed to be returning to the big screen in the “Sex And The City” sequel “And Just Like That,” excitement about her persona couldn’t be greater. Iconic series quotes spread like wildfire, her character’s sexy looks still make her jaw drop 25 years after the series began. While her looks haven’t changed, Kim Cattrall’s take on cosmetic surgery hasn’t.

Kim Cattrall: She no longer embraces aging in her 60s

Talking about beauty treatments was considered taboo for many years. One can only speculate as to what treatments or surgeries Hollywood’s A-listers have undergone. Kim Cattrall, on the other hand, is far from laying a cloak of silence on the much-discussed topic and so she openly admits in an interview with “The Sunday Times” that she decided to have surgery.

I’m in my 60’s now and I’m fighting aging by all means

This bold statement comes as a surprise given that Cattrall has made her stand on the issue of beauty treatments clear in the past. In an interview with the Daily Mail in 2011, she said that she “embraces aging” and is “not afraid” of it. For her, aging is “the most interesting thing” and she admires people who don’t feel the need to “go under the knife”.

She does not shy away from these interventions

There are many ways of preserving the youthfulness of the body. While cosmetic treatments like microneedling are considered relatively harmless, there are also surgical procedures like thread lifts or eyelid lifts to combat signs of aging. Kim Cattrall mentions these methods to The Sunday Times:

There’s fillers, there’s botox, there’s so many different things to examine and try to see if it’s for you.

She emphasizes that the key to getting the best results is “having the money, and more importantly, having the right surgeon.”

“It’s your body. Do what you want to do”

Kim Cattrall has always made it clear that she doesn’t judge anyone for their decisions about anti-aging. “I think it’s every woman’s choice, not just every actor’s. It’s your body, your life. Do what you want to do,” she revealed to the Daily Mail at the time. Even though she confirmed twelve years ago that she had Botox on her forehead, she still said:

I guess a forehead without wrinkles doesn’t tell me they lived a life. I don’t want to look in the mirror and not see who’s looking back.
