- The North Korean leader’s trainKim Jong-un, has entered Russia, the Russian state news agency, Ria Novosti, said on Tuesday. Mr. Kim took a “special train” late Sunday afternoon towards Russia, where he is to meet President Vladimir Putin. He is accompanied by officials from the Workers’ Party of Korea, North Korea’s single party, members of the government and military personnel.
- The United States, like many experts, believe that this trip to Vladivostok, in the far east of Russia, where an annual economic forum is held, could focus on an arms agreement. Mr. Putin is reportedly seeking to obtain North Korean weapons and ammunition for Russian forces fighting in Ukraine.
