Aoki Lee Simmons, daughter of music producer Russell Simmons, appeared smooching with star restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 44 years her senior. The romance is over. Now mother Kimora is breaking her silence – and is ashamed.
Aoki Lee Simmons, 21, was enjoying herself in St. Barts in early April this year. But the daughter of Russell Simmons, 66, and model Kimora Lee Simmons, 48, was not alone on the French-speaking Caribbean island: star restaurateur Vittorio Assaf, 65, was at her side. The two were spotted smooching on the beach. Just a few days later it was all over. Now Kimora has commented on her daughter’s kissing photos to “TMZ” for the first time.

When the kissing pictures spread rapidly in the media, Kimora Lee Simmons was “a little embarrassed”. According to TMZ, she then told her daughter that “it is what it is” and that she should “come home” and assured Aoki that he would have her back. In addition, the fashion designer believes that her child was “tricked a bit” due to the “age dynamics”.
Aoki has never dated Vittorio Assaf
Aoki Lee Simmons and Vittorio Assaf are said to have gone their separate ways after their romantic Caribbean vacation. “It’s 100 percent over. They are absolutely not together,” a source close to the model told Page Six four weeks ago. A month later, her mother confirmed this in an interview with “TMZ” and emphasized that the two were never a couple.
Her ex Russell Simmons had previously told “TMZ” that he would not rebel against his daughter’s decisions. “All I can do is offer my advice and unconditional love,” said the music producer. However, his ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons did not approve of their youngest’s relationship due to the large age difference, an insider told Page Six.

In pictures, the “Page Six” are available, Aoki Lee Simmons and Vittorio Assaf are seen enjoying their day at the beach to the fullest. The 21-year-old wore a colorful patterned bandeau bikini as she relaxed in the company of the restaurant owner. In the bright sunshine, they repeatedly kissed each other passionately and exchanged amorous looks. In between they lay together on a towel in the sand. Aoki – who is following in her mother’s footsteps and recently celebrated her first successes as a model – had headphones in her ear and seemed to want to switch off with music or a podcast. Vittorio, on the other hand, was busy with his cell phone, taking lots of photos of the beautiful scenery.
Later they went into the turquoise water together to cool off. Both the daughter of the founder of the hip-hop label “Def Jam” and the owner of the New York posh restaurant Serafina have posted photos from their vacation on Instagram in the past few days. However, they did not appear together on social media. While Aoki shared several snapshots of herself in swimwear, Vittorio appeared in a bar with a good friend. “Friends for 25 years. I’m proud of you,” he wrote on the recording. So far, the 21-year-old and the 65-year-old have not commented on their alleged relationship or separation.
