Kindergartens are waiting – Styrian lollipop tests are stuck in Korea

There are slight delays in the lollipop tests announced by the state in the Styrian kindergartens. Currently only 15,000 units have been delivered to the Graz facilities – the rest are on hold.

The reason for the delays are massive problems in the supply chain. Although the first 100,000 pieces of the lollipop tests ordered by the State of Styria went to China as planned, it was already back in South Korea. “The planes of the cargo companies are currently all overcrowded, so unfortunately there were delays,” says Klaus Marcher from Department 8 (Health and Care) of the country. Today the plane should finally land in Vienna. “At least that’s the plan,” says Marcher. “If everything works as desired at customs, we can start deliveries to the kindergartens on Monday.” The children are only tested with the consent of their parents – even the participation of the institutions themselves is voluntary. In a test phase in Graz, 75 percent of parents agreed to the tests.
