The market for e-book readers is highly competitive, but for many, the Amazon Kindle products are among the best reading devices. Amazon offers many different models of e-readers, some typically costing hundreds of dollars. On Black Friday, however, you can save a lot of money thanks to various deals.

However, the Kindles are in great demand on Amazon. For almost all reduced Kindle models, the mail order company no longer specifies a specific delivery date, but instead only says “delivery before Christmas”. You can currently get many Kindle models for the same price at Media Markt and Saturn. Here the delivery time is only up to three days.

Amazon Kindle 11th Generation (2022)
The Amazon Kindle 2020 is the manufacturer’s basic version. The entry-level model offers all the basic functions for reading, but not much more. As with many other models, the display resolution is okay, but not outstanding. In addition, the eReader is not waterproof. The device is currently priced at EUR 109.99 (EUR 99.99 for the model with advertising in the main menu). On Black Friday, the price could drop by 30 to 50 euros.
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
The Paperwhite model is probably the best value for money device. It offers all the important functions for reading and can score with a good resolution. It’s also waterproof, making reading by the pool or in the bath much safer. With advertising on the home screen, the regular price is EUR 129.99 and without advertising EUR 149.99. Discounts of 40 to 70 euros are possible on Black Friday.
Amazon Kindle Kids
For children, Amazon has the Amazon Kindle Kids in its portfolio. This comes with a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+. This gives your kids access to a large library of kid-friendly content. However, you should keep the device away from water. The comprehensive child safety feature is also worth mentioning. Normally you pay 199.99 euros for the device, on Black Friday the price could drop by up to 50 percent.
Amazon Kindle Oasis
The Kindle Oasis is one of the more expensive and technically better equipped Kindle models. Accordingly, it has more to offer than the other versions. The design and workmanship are significantly better, which makes it feel much better in the hand. The display without mirror effects and with adjustable display color temperature is easy on the eyes and allows you to read even in bright sunshine. Of course it is also waterproof.
At over 200 euros, the Amazon Kindle Oasis is also far more expensive than the other models. At least normally, because on Black Friday the Kindle Oasis could also drop drastically in price. We think savings of up to 50 euros are realistic, which could drop the price to around 150 to 170 euros.
Amazon Kindle Scribe
At almost half a kilo, the Amazon Kindle Scribe is significantly heavier than other models, but you only get this edition with up to 64 gigabytes of storage space. It’s not waterproof, but it has the special feature that you can also write on it with a stylus. It serves you as an electronic notepad. Alongside the Kindle Oasis, it is the only model with automatic page orientation adjustment. With prices starting at 400 euros, however, it is more for the big budget. The Kindle Scribe could be 30 to 60 euros cheaper on Black Friday.

One negative aspect of Kindle is that you are completely limited to the Amazon store with the devices. The models do not support the general ePub format, which is why it is not possible to borrow eBooks or buy them from other providers.
