Police investigations have been discontinued
No further investigations are being carried out into King Charles’s Prince’s Foundation.

London Police have resumed their investigation into King Charles III’s charity. discontinued, as announced today.
Good news for the British regent: After around a year and a half, the London Metropolitan Police have closed their investigations into the Prince’s Foundation, King Charles III’s charity. (74), discontinued. This reports, among other things the British “Express”. The Prince’s Foundation had been under investigation since February last year on suspicion of corruption. The Met has now announced that after reviewing “more than 200 documents” and interviewing several witnesses, “no further steps will be taken in this matter”.
Were titles of nobility granted in return for donations?
There was suspicion that some employees of the Prince’s Foundation, including Charles’ former valet Michael Fawcett (60), had promised foreign people titles of nobility and British citizenship in exchange for donations to the charity. In fact, the Saudi Arabian businessman Mahfus Marai Mubarak (53), who had donated at least 1.5 million pounds (equivalent to around 1.75 million euros) for Prince’s Foundation projects, was appointed Commander by the then Prince Charles in a private ceremony in 2016 of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
The London Metropolitan Police have now stopped their investigations on the advice of the public prosecutor and taking into account the information received so far. In the course of the police investigation, “no one was arrested or charged,” according to an “Express” police statement.
The Prince’s Foundation works to preserve community
Charles’ aforementioned former valet Michael Fawcett resigned as head of the Prince’s Foundation in November 2021 following allegations of corruption. In February 2022, the London police then began their investigation. Clarence House said at the time: “The Prince of Wales was not aware of any alleged offering of awards or British citizenship based on donations to his charities.” A spokesman for the Prince’s Foundation declined to comment in early 2022, saying it was “inappropriate” to comment on an ongoing police investigation.
Established in 1986 by the then Prince of Wales, the Prince’s Foundation aims to promote a sustainable approach to living and building communities and neighborhoods. This includes, for example, revitalizing neighborhoods, or building sustainable living space or promoting activities for families.
