King Charles III’s Christmas card and Camilla has been released. They chose a photo from the Highland Games.

King Charles III’s Christmas card (74) and King’s wife Camilla (75) is on the way. The royal couple have sent their first Christmas message as reigning monarchs, Buckingham Palace has announced. The palace also published a picture of the card. Charles and Camilla are pictured there: a smiling Charles in side profile, who is being looked at lovingly by his wife. Next to it is written: “We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”

The photo was taken just five days before the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). Charles wore a tweed suit with a red, green and beige tie in the picture, taken by award-winning photographer Samir Hussein. Camilla a matching green suit and hat with a pheasant motif and pearl earrings. The snapshot comes from the Highland Games in Scotland, which the current king opened at the time.

Photographer Hussein posted the image of the card on his Twitter account and wrote, “I’m really proud that my photo has been chosen for the Royal Couple’s Christmas card for the second year in a row.”
