Even though King Charles III, 75, is said to have survived planned prostate surgery well, it is currently unknown how long the British monarch will remain in hospital. However, he will probably stay in the private London Clinic at least until the end of the weekend, reports the BBC broadcaster. Accordingly, his wife, Queen Camilla, 76, visited him again in the hospital for about three hours this Saturday afternoon, one day after the procedure.

When will King Charles III and Princess Kate released?

Accompanying Camilla was King Charles III. arrived at the clinic on Friday morning. As she left the hospital, she told gathered journalists after the operation according to the Daily Mail: “He’s fine, thank you very much.” According to further reports, Camilla went to the clinic again that evening.

Princess Kate, 42, is also being treated at the London Clinic. Before his own surgery, Charles reportedly visited his daughter-in-law. Kate, Prince William’s wife, 41, had abdominal surgery a few days ago. According to the BBC, she is also expected to spend at least the weekend in the clinic. Princess Kate is expected to be released in the coming days.

The palace had announced on January 17ththat Kate had to undergo planned abdominal surgery and would remain in the clinic for up to 14 days after the successful procedure. However, she will have to continue to recover afterwards and will probably not attend any public appointments until after Easter.

A few hours later, the palace also announced that King Charles III. an operation for an enlarged prostate was imminent: “His Majesty’s condition is harmless and he will go to the hospital next week for an operation. The King’s public appearances will be postponed for a short recovery period.”
