Six new King Charles medals have been unveiled on the Royal Family’s Instagram account. They replace Queen Elizabeth’s.

Five months ago he was officially crowned king, and now there are new medals with his likeness. Six different medal designs dedicated to King Charles III were featured on the Royal Family’s Instagram account. (74) show. They are intended to replace the previous ones with the image of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022).

Princess Anne has already awarded the new medals

Three of the pictures show King Charles in the uniform of the “Admiral of the Fleet” of the Royal Navy, the “Field Marshal” of the Army and the “Marshal of the Royal Airforce”. The king’s face is turned to the right. The medals will be used for 50 different awards, including those from the Royal Red Cross.

A video of Princess Anne (73) presenting the new medals to four recipients can be seen on the Royal Family’s Instagram account. The Latin inscription is also explained, which translated means something like: “Charles the Third, by the grace of God, king, defender of the faith”.
