Queen Camilla + King Charles
They interrupt their vacation on Balmoral for important news
King Charles and Queen Camilla traditionally spend their summer holidays at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. A royal birthday now caused her break to be briefly interrupted. The royal couple congratulated on Twitter.
The members of the British royal family spend their summer holidays as they do every year at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. But King Charles, 74, and Queen Camilla, 76, have now interrupted this traditional hiatus for important news.
King Charles and Queen Camilla happy birthday
In the midst of their holidays, the royal couple shared very special congratulations on their official Twitter profile. A royal birthday was the reason for the tweet: Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, second uncle of King Charles, celebrated his 79th birthday on Saturday, August 26th. On a compilation of pictures that Charles and Camilla tweeted, the two congratulated him with the words: “We wish the Duke of Gloucester a happy birthday today!” To do this, they set the emoji of a birthday cake.
Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, is a grandson of King George V, who died in 1910, and is therefore part of the British royal family. He is the second son of the former Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Prince Henry, †74, and Princess Alice, †102. At the time of his birth he was fifth in line to the British throne, today he is 31st.
