LONDON (Reuters) – King Charles will resume his public activities next week, which he had suspended since the announcement of his cancer diagnosis on February 5, his state of health being judged “encouraging” by his doctors, announced Friday Buckingham.

“His Majesty’s treatment will continue but doctors are sufficiently satisfied with the progress made so far that the king can resume a number of public activities,” a palace spokesperson said.

No medical details have been communicated.

Charles will visit a cancer treatment center in London on Tuesday with his wife Camilla. Buckingham also confirmed a state visit by Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and his wife Masako in June to the British capital. The King of England’s summer program will nevertheless be reduced so as not to hinder his chances of recovery.
