Kingdom Hearts 4: Game 20th Anniversary Announcement

Many have hoped for it and now it is certain: the Kingdom Hearts series is growing. To the delight of the fans a first trailer also appeared directly. Those players who know the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts 3 will experience a kind of dej vu as Sora wakes up in the town of Quadratum at the beginning.

He doesn’t have much time to get used to the environment, but Kingdom Hearts isn’t a sleep simulator either. Shortly thereafter, he is already running towards a huge Heartless that has appeared in the middle of the city. With his Keyblade he takes up the fight with him. Before you know if he’ll emerge victorious, two darkly clad figures come into play, which are likely to be from Organization 13.

Of the Trailer then ends with Donald and Goofy, who are presumably looking for Sora. This disappeared after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3. It seems that fans can look forward to a very extensive and action-packed time.

You can get a first impression of the game in the trailer:

Kingdom Hearts 4: Development with Unreal Engine 5

According to site KH13, Unreal Engine 4 was used for the trailer. The recreations of the streets of Shibuya, Tokyo are really impressive but could look even better in the finished game. It is known that Square Enix relies on the newly released Unreal Engine 5 for development – meaning the game will look more realistic than ever. (Source: KH13)

Kingdom Hearts 4: Fans know where Sora lives in the real world

The released trailer seems to be modeled after the real city of Tokyo and some fans took a close look. Namely, one has the building and discovered the area around the apartment where Sora wakes up. It is said to be located in Aoyama, one of the city’s most expensive residential areas. Twitter user aitaikimochi also recognizes the park. It is said to be Aoyama Gakuin Park.

Kingdom Hearts 4: No More Mickey Mouse Shoes!

Not only Sora’s hair has received an update, his outfit has also been refreshed. This now looks more realistic, matching the setting of the upcoming game. However, one little thing has changed a lot, because you can see it in the trailer the right shoe size from Sora. It’s by no means as huge as the previous parts suggest, and they’re less yellow. If a fan has his way, Sora has now reached the end of his journey:

“The actual story of Kingdom Hearts is Sora’s journey to get the right shoes,” said Twitter user @JackiiBoii.

Better late than never!
