(CercleFinance.com) – The European Commission has approved the acquisition of sole control of France-based Albioma by US-based KKR.
Albioma is an independent producer of renewable energies, active in thermal biomass, photovoltaics and geothermal energy.
KKR is a global investor providing alternative asset management services as well as capital markets and insurance solutions.
The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise competition concerns, given the limited overlaps between the companies’ activities and the absence of actual or potential vertical relationships between the companies.
