In 2004 the band “Nu Pagadi” was formed in the talent show “Popstars”. Singer Markus Grimm no longer has much to do with music – but he is successful as a self-proclaimed sausage influencer.
The fourth season of the talent show “Popstars” flickered across TV screens in 2004. In this the band “Nu Pagadi” was formed. Patrick Boinet, 47, Kristina Villages39, Doreen Steinert, 36, and Markus Grimm, 44, prevailed against the other candidates and quickly celebrated great success as a music group: their first hit “Sweetest Poison” landed at number one in the charts. But the jubilation was not to last. Doreen left the group just five months after it was founded, and another four months later the glam rock band broke up completely.
Markus Grimm is now pursuing a completely different passion: he has built up an influencer existence around sausages.

A bizarre idea that came to the former musician’s mind quite by accident. In an interview with the “Rheinische Post”, the 44-year-old reveals that his husband Ben, to whom he gave the vows in 2016, is indirectly responsible. “My husband wanted to do the garden for spring and dragged me with him,” explains Grimm.
And further: “And because there is always a snack stand in front of every hardware store, I ate a bratwurst and posted a video of it on TikTok. Then the first comments with tips came straight away: ‘Drive here, try it there, the best sausage is here and there’ … So I went out and tested sausages under the hashtag ‘Wurstfluencer’ – and with success.

Meanwhile, the former “pop stars“-participant has built a small empire. The sausage influencer has around 78,000 followers on TikTok. He has also launched his own cheese bratwurst and spice mixture, which is available online.
Seems like the former casting star has found his true calling.
