Knuckles (Paramount+): the Sonic spin-off series is revealed in an electrifying trailer

After two successful films at the cinema, the universe of Sonic will arrive on the small screen in a new series coming to the streaming service Paramount+. Dedicated to the character of Knucklesthe show is revealed in a trailer full of humor and action.

With more than $700 million grossed worldwide, the two films Sonic enjoyed great success in the cinema. It is therefore not surprising to see Paramount Studios continue to capitalize on the franchise.

While waiting for a third feature film scheduled for release in theaters at the end of the year, the series Knuckles should satisfy fans of the famous characters born in Sega video games.

The six episodes of Knuckles arrive on Paramount+ on April 27 and their plot takes place between Sonic 2 And Sonic 3. As in his cinema version, Knuckles is played by Idris Elba (Luther, Beast).

Also in the cast is Adam Pally (FUBAR) in the guise of Wade Whipple, a character seen in the films, whom Knuckles takes under his wing to teach him “the ways of the echidna warrior“.

The first episode of the series is directed by the director of the films SonicJeff Fowler, while the following have Ged Wright, Brandon Trost (Future Man), Jorma Taccone (MacGruber) and Carol Banker (Reacher) behind the camera.

Even more of Sonic

If we should also see Sonic and Tails in this series, the blue hedgehog will not be at the center of the plot. To find him at the heart of the franchise, you will have to wait Sonic 3 on December 25, 2024.

Note, Sonic fans can also find the famous hedgehog in Sonic Prime, an animated series whose third season launched last month on Netflix. This show is however neither linked to the film franchise Sonicnor to the Paramount+ series.
