The adventure game “Koh-Lanta” returns from February 22 with a very enigmatic novelty: the “cursed totem”. If the production of TF1 keeps the mystery around this object, the next season will see 24 new candidates compete. This is the second time in the show’s history that the cast has been so full.

Just over two months after the end of Koh-Lanta The Legend, which had been marked by stories of cheating (notably for a steak and fries affair), the new season tour in the Philippines will welcome 24 candidates in the adventure (12 women and 12 men) and unknown to the general public, and whose names were unveiled on Tuesday. This is the second time in the history of the game that the cast includes so many adventurers at the start, who will have to deal with a great novelty: the arrival of a “cursed totem”.
“To lose a trial is to inherit the cursed totem”
In reality this year, there will not be one but two totems that will be given to the candidates. The immunity totem will continue to protect the winners of the trials, and so there will be this famous cursed totem. TF1 still lets the mystery hang over this object. In a press release, the first channel simply states that “to lose a test is to inherit the cursed totem, and to suffer one of its many curses”…
The emblematic host Denis Brogniart will always be in charge of the show. And this year again, it is on the Tuesday evening box that TF1 will broadcast the program in prime time. The new season of Koh Lanta will be launched on February 22.
