Big success, for the first sale of digital works from a major player in Japanese video games. Thanks to these first auctions, Konami managed to make a profit of more than $100,000.
This is not likely to deter publishers from entering the (macabre) dance of NFTs: Konami sold for more than $140,000 during this first auction session, and is already planning others. The most popular items include a 3-minute video montage, an illustration of the excellent Circle of the Moon (these two pieces sold for $15,000 each) and finally a pixel-art map, the only unpublished piece of this auction, sold for $20,000 and whose visual you can see just below.
As usual with NFTs, each of these works can then be resold: if you are curious, you can go to the opensea website to see the collection proposed for this funny 35th anniversary offered to the cult saga of the Japanese publisher.
