Konami Raises Starting Salaries – Gamosaurus

After Atlus last November, then Capcom just a month ago, it is Konami’s turn to announce an increase in its salaries. More precisely, an increase in the base salary, intended for young graduates.

Currently set at 295,000 yen, the starting salary will increase to 300,000 yen from March 2025, the equivalent of 1,823 euros. Remember that remuneration in the company is through the base salary to which are added incentive bonuses.

Konami explains this future salary increase by the desire to stabilize the income of its employees and create a satisfactory working environment. But the company is above all aligning itself with its main competitors who have already carried out this salary increase. Enough to stay in the race for talent that is raging in the Japanese video game industry.

However, there are still a few big names in the industry who keep their base salaries below 300,000 yen. This is particularly the case for Square Enix with its 288,000 yen per month or even Bandai Namco and Koei Tecmo, both at 290,000 yen.
