From last April, the CEO of Legendary Entertainment, Josh Grode, assured that the studio had “several ideas for more movies”In the MonsterVerse and a few weeks later, the Hollywood Reporter revealed that the producers were in discussions with Adam Wingard for a potentially Kong-centric feature film titled Son of Kong.
In addition, an animated series in the world of the giant gorilla is also in development on the Netflix side. Known simply as Skull Island, it will follow a group of adventurers who try to escape from the island well guarded by the titan Kong, where prehistoric monsters are also hiding.

And if confirmation of a new feature film is long overdue, screenwriter Max Borenstein, who helped write all episodes of the MonsterVerse, remains very optimistic.
