“We found out about it two years ago,” says long-time commander Ewald Wolf (pictured below), “we were surprised, we don’t even have a hill in town.” The people of Kalsdorf have had a water weir (through the Mur) for a long time, and they even bought a hovercraft (amphibious vehicle) for it. Nine vehicles are currently in the garages, for the future an extension had to be started at the armory, the fire engine (thermal imaging camera, pressurized cabin, radar sensors) for the tunnel will come from ÖBB in June.
