KOTOR development resumes at Saber Interactive

A little less than a month ago, we learned via Bloomberg that development of the game had been put on hold. But Embracer Group would have found a quick solution to get the KOTOR remake back on track: entrust it to Saber Interactive. If this is not a surprise, there is no doubt that the plans of Sony and Disney have been revised accordingly. Whether for the release of the title or its promotion.

If the news has not yet been formalized, Embracer Group would have confided in a report that the game should not suffer from any significant delay. Saber Interactive, after developing Evil Dead: The Game or World War Z: Aftermath, must now tackle the remake of KOTOR. So we still don’t know when this version is planned. However, the project should not be expected to be completed for at least two years.

On the Aspyr Media side, this news is a cold shower. If they hoped to remain at the head of development after being invested in it for 2 years, it seems that they are purely and simply put aside. After putting so much effort and energy, the developers will have to turn to new projects.
