Kowloon Nights, for those who don’t know, is a video game financing company, a kind of financial producer that accompanies independent studios, outside of the “publisher” box. Kowloon Nights announced today that it has become a partner for 8 new upcoming productions.
What are these new games?
Kowloon Nights had already collaborated with quite a few independent productions. This was the case with Spiritfarerdeveloped by Thunder Lotus Game, or Sifu (from French studio Sloclap)which received more than warm success (you can find the entire portfolio of the foundation on their official website).
With its investments, Kowloon Nigths has generated over $150 million since its inception in 2018, a head-spinning number, but one that has allowed the company to invest elsewhere. Here is the list of all the new productions supported by Kowloon Nights:
- A new so-called “secret” project from the American studio Aggro Crab (Going Under).
- Worship a “Pikmin-inspired roguelike” by Chasing Rat Games (Stuggling).
- Techtonicaa management game on an alien planet, being developed by Fire Hose Games (Catlateral Damage).
- An unknown title by the Canadian studio Kitfox Games (Moon Hunters, Boyfriend Dungeon).
- 2 new titles by Australian League of Geeks (Armello).
- Sword of Symphonya musical RPG from developer Stephen Ddungu.
- An as yet unannounced project from Dutch studio Webble Games (Havocado).
The president of Fire Hose Games did not wait to praise Kowloon Studios :

On paper, Kowloons Nights is a perfect investment foundation for developers who want to stay independent. The studios mentioned above have already made their small hole in the independent video game sphere, with titles like MoonHunter, ArmelloWhere Going Under. We hope that the boost given by Kowloon Nights will allow all these productions to come out on top.
