The series The Woman Who Lived Opposite the Girl at the Window has been available since January 28 on Netflix, and she is already talking a lot about her. Only it’s not because of its quality or its humor but rather due to the bad buzz of a particular scene.
Netflix is used to buzz, whether good or bad, but it’s this time around a particular actress that a little buzz has emerged on the internet. The streaming platform proposed, on January 28, a new series which completely caricatures the codes of thrillers with, in its main role, Kristen Bell. Using all the cliches usually used in thrillers like Gone Girl, The Woman at the Window or The Girl on the Train, The Woman Who Lived Opposite the Girl at the Window offers a rather fun revisit that tends towards the absurd with, however, real intrigue and resolution.
Yet what struck viewers – many of whom binged this series of eight 30-minute episodes in a very short time – were not the murder stories or even the comic aspect of the series. A sex scene which takes place in The woman who lived across from the girl at the window (Where The woman in the house across the street from the girls in the window for English speakers) caught the attention of fans, some of whom quickly spoke on Twitter. For those who have not seen the series, Anna (played by Kristen Bell), finds herself at one point alone with a criminal with whom she ends up sleeping. The sex scene, like the rest of the series, parodies the genre with multiple shots of the couple having sex completely naked all over the house and with a lot of swaying.

After seeing this scene from episode 5, a user wanted to express his shock by explaining that he also watched the series with “his girlfriend and her mother in the same room“. So maximum embarrassment. But the shock quickly gave way to surprise since actress Kristen Bell herself responded to the tweet in question by taking it as a joke and apologizing to the shocked viewer. The latter did not miss the opportunity to try to strike up a conversation with the star of the series by replying that she should “apologize to [sa] mother right now“, message to which Kristen Bell has not yet responded.
