La Française de l’Energie: signs an ESG Impulse loan of 5.8 ME with Arkéa

(Boursier.com) — Gazonor, subsidiary of La Française de l’Energie (FDE), has just benefited from the support of Arkéa Banque Entreprises et Institutionnels, a subsidiary of the Crédit Mutuel Arkéa group, with an ESG “Impulse” loan of 5.8 million euros, making it possible to cover the needs of the Group and accelerate its growth strategy.

This loan aims to strengthen the activity of the FDE subsidiary via the refinancing of 4 cogeneration units, in Lens and Avion, with a total power of 6 MW. The funds can be deployed by the group for its growth.

This partnership is a long-term one to reduce France’s carbon footprint.

Partnership discussions are also underway on other financing of Group projects.

FDE thus reiterates its objectives of annualized turnover of more than 100 ME, an Ebitda of more than 50 ME, combined with more than 10 million tonnes of CO2eq emissions avoided per year by 2026.

Remember that Gazonor is the main producer of gas and green electricity from mine gas in France and Belgium. Via its 4 sites dedicated to the capture of mine gas and the production of electricity, the group uses short circuits to recycle this fatal gas in the former mining basins of Hauts-de-France.
