La Grande Bibliothèque: who are the guests for this Wednesday, February 9?

Télé Star invites you to discover who are the guests of François Busnel, this Wednesday, February 9, in La Grande bookstore, on France 5.

Like every week, viewers of France 5 have an appointment with François Busnel. This Wednesday, February 9, from 9 p.m., the journalist is hosting a new issue of the Grande Librairie with three guests who will debate on a current and important subject: Have you ever wondered if you belong in your life, your work and your family, your couple. On the set of France 5, François Busnel will first receive Claire Marin, for his book To be in her place published by The Observatory. In this work, the philosopher wonders about what it means “to be in her place” : “What are the spaces, real or symbolic, that welcome us or reject us? Should we try to conquer the places that are forbidden to us, because of our gender, our disability, our age, our ethnic or social origin?”

François Busnel will then receive Nicolas Mathieu, for his book Connemara at Actes Sud on the set of La Grande Librairie. In this book, the 2018 Goncourt prize, tells the story of Hélène and Christophe who is the one “of a return to the country, of an attempt to two, the story of another chance and of a love which seeks itself beyond the distances in a country which sings Sardou and will vote against itself”. To complete his set, the journalist will also interview Jeanne Benameur, for her book The patience of traces at Actes Sud. In this work, she writes the story of Simon, a psychoanalyst and his “patient work which walks towards freedom”.

La Grande Librairie: what audience for the latest issue?

This book is a “initiatory quest which also contains a whole learning novel built on fire and violence (friendship, youth, the ocean), it is a book of silence(s) and encounter(s), the book of great wisdom, gentle, stubborn, and soon, serene”. For the latest issue of the Grande Librairie, François Busnel was surrounded by Éric Vuillard, Leïla Slimani and Véronique Olmi to discuss the complexity of our world. 356,000 viewers were then watching the benchmark literary program.
